Wifi not working

I recently re installed XP on my daughter's computer because she said the wifi stopped working on it. It would not find the connection in our house. I formatted, and re installed hoping that would solve the problem. All drivers are installed. I right click for network connections, and nothing comes up, it says none are in range. I can't think of what the next step could be to solve this problem. She said one day when she started the computer, it didn't come up at all. Could the onboard wifi have just gone bad? It's a Toshiba Satellite U305-2077. The 1394 connection and wireless network connection both say fire walled as well. I've unintalled and re installed. Any suggestions?

  1. Many Toshiba's have a physical switch to turn the wifi on or off. Are you sure its on?
