Which of these 2 old systems is better?

Hello. Could you please advise me which from the next 2 systems is better? The system will be used only for web browsing (websites, youtube, etc), maybe some very small games and some use of an office editor. The OS will be linux.

First system:

1. MB: Aristo KT133
2. Cpu: Amd Duron 750 Mhz
2: RAM: 640 SDRam
3: Video: Magnum/Xpert 128/Xpert 99

Second system:
1. Mb: Compaq (it's an old compaq deskpro)
2. Cpu: Pentium III 733 Mhz
3: Ram: 640 SDRam
4: Video: Onboard, maxim aperture size: 64 Mb

I'm asking this because of the difference between those 2 cpu:

Duron is having l2 cache: 64 Kb with a 128 Mb video card
Pentium III is having l2 cache 256 Kb with an onboard 64Mb videocard

Ewwww. This is like asking if you'd like your hand or your foot cut off.

I'm going to guess the second one. The athlons were faster then the pentiums of that time, but the durons were more like the celerons. I doubt the extra 20MHz will change things. I don't think you will like the performance of either. I had an old laptop with a P3 933MHz CPU in it and it couldn't watch youtube at full screen. (1024x768 I think) If you want to watch youtube I don't think either system will handle it.

IMO, Pentium III rig is the lesser of two evils here. Not sure if that on-board video will be up to the task for Youtube, light gaming, etc., without lag.

May want to look around for an older, AGP Video Card (if supported) on eBay or Craigslist. Something like the GeForce4 MX440 or Ti 4200, perhaps.

well if you're getting this for free get the pentium 3

but if your buying it how much would it be? can you stretch your budget? even an amd Llano would be better than either of those 2 or some g530 or something.

If free: I would get the Pentium 3.

Basically you probably want to keep looking. The $300 unit at walmart will run circles around both of those put together. I bought a used laptop off of ebay with a C2D, 4GBs of ram, and a 2600m for light gaming for only $200 shipped. My local craigs list has many laptops for $150-$200 and desktops for $50-$100 that again are much faster then those. Both of those computers should be junked at this point.
