  1. Could you mention your Power Supply Unit or PSU?
It's necessary for us to know that first.
Could you list your budget for the GPU too?
And which CPU do you have?
  2. It seems like he has a 6-core Phenom II 1xxxT CPU. We still need to know your budget and your power supply unit. It would also be helpful if you mentioned whether your computer case is a full sized one, or a slim one.
  3. I am currently using 230V PS and my budget is around 10K-15K in indian rupees
  4. 230V is your input. Every electric device in your home uses same input. It's the output that's important.
  5. 200-300 USD is going to get you a good GPU, but not the best out there.

I would budget 50,000 rupee's if you want the best, Nvidia 690.

Or, spend around 20,000, and look into the 670, 7970, 7950 OC, or 680 reference.

Though, I don't cruise hardware sites for india, so I don't know if prices are more than UK/USA.

i believe its higher, a ddr3 6670 is approximately 5k rs so 10-15k is sorta like ~150 ish maybe $?
  7. can you get the hd 6850 its last gen but its pretty good and plays all my games at max minus bf3 thats high or 7850 if you have more money
  8. The 7850 is going to be better all the way around, AND use less power.
  9. So if i have a 7850 do i need to change my entire cabinet or only the smps change will be enough
  10. We still don't know if your power supply is good enough for the HD 7850.

You still haven't mentioned your PSU. The output, as sunius pointed out.

For 10-15k the best card you could get, would be an HD 7850.

If you can spend an extra, 1k, it's going to be well worth it.
  12. I am using a PSU of 450W.
I have purchased a Cooler Master 550W and Sapphire HD 7850 Graphic Card.
Currently i am facing with a new problem : My Graphic card always says that Display driver AMD has crashed but successfully recovered.
Please suggest how to get rid of this problem....
    Thanks in advance

That's an issues regarding the GPU's drivers. Download the latest ones from AMD's website.
  14. Thanks for that Gman450
  15. Is your issue fixed?
  16. No still the issue is present,i am having issue frequently that the driver crashed and recovered successfully.
I have upgraded my Bios aswell and still facing the issue ..
    Please help me out
  17. Which drivers were you using when the error occurred the first time?
  18. I am using the drivers which were given with the Graphic Card.
Later i removed my existing Nvidia drivers

So you didn't remove your NVIDIA drivrers first, before installing the HD 7850's drivers?

Use a tool called DriverSweeper to remove all the files of your previous drivers. Uninstall your current ones, via driversweeper, and then reinstall the latest ones.
  20. ok let met try that..ty
  21. I have used the driver sweeper and uninstalled the old nvidia drivers and also the existing AMD drivers and then installed again, but once again i had the same issue...
  22. This is a little tricky.
Try installing the drivers through safe mode.
  23. i tried to install in safe mode but it didnt get through.
And it was displaying the same message several times now.
  24. Let me see if any other of the members could help out.

    1) Download Driver Sweeper here.
    2) Download Catalyst 12.6 drivers HERE. but don't install.
    3) Download CAP HERE.
    4) Custom uninstall all AMD software through Control Panel, select everything and reboot.
    5) Run Driver Sweeper and clean AMD AND nVidia drivers and reboot.
    6) Re-install CCC and reboot.
    7) Install the CAP profile and reboot.
    8) Done and happy hunting! :)
  26. You didn't overclock the card at all did you? I get that same driver crashing error when I put too high of a clock on my AMD GPU.

Oooh, sorry to hear you bought a CM; it is probably only good for 450W-500W: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Cooler-Master-eXtreme-Power-Plus-550-W-Power-Supply-Review/969/9 and it is also inefficient.
Fortunately, the HD7850 is pretty easy on the power, so you'll probably be ok, at least for a while. If you have the option, it would be safer to return the CM for a quality unit by Seasonic, Antec, Corsair, XFX, Enermax/LEPA, or FSP. Even OCZ would be a better choice. A quality modern PSU has full range active PFC (no little voltage switch but operates on a wide range such as 100V-240V) and some level of 80+ certification for efficiency.

Wow, you took a step in the wrong direction. You replaced a terrible PSU...for a terrible PSU.

You need to back up, and reinstall a fresh version of windows, how it isn't corrupt already I'm not sure. You had nvidia display drivers with catalyst? Oh my.

Fresh windows install, download catalyst 12.7 and don't look back.

    How dirty is your case?
  29. Oh so reinstalling the OS will help me fix this
