just wanted to know if i would need to reformat my computer if i want to change the processor
my pc is:
upgrading to: AMD Phenom II X4 980
my pc is pretty much stock just changed the powersupp to a 550w and the videocard to a GTX 460 V2
also wanted to know if that processor will be a big upgrade for my pc.
i know the pc is outdated all i do game on it i just dont feel like buying a whole new pc at the moment.

Not a huge difference but you'll feel it. And you can probably put in the new cpu and it'll work like a charm. No need for OS reinstall.
