I now have $150 to $250 USD to spend, and would like to make the next upgrade step in my new build. I mainly game and listen to music/watch movies/surf the net, nothing is overclocked at the moment.

I currently have:
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H motherboard
Intel i5-3570k w/ stock cooler
8gb (2x 4gb) Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800) CL9 ram
1 Linksys WMP600N Wireless-N PCI Adapter w/Dual Band
1 Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3160318AS 160GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3Gb IHD
2 case fans
1 dvd/rw drive
Really old 420W power supply ( thermaltake purepower W0008 HPC-420-302 DF )

I Plan to:
1) Buy and install windows 7 home premium 64bit !
I've been using my old 32bit XP copy, its limiting me with RAM cap and old direct X version...
$100

2) Get a larger/newer power supply, in order to use a EVGA Geforce GTX 275 card my friend gave me > the CPU's integrated graphics. Im really not sure which power supply would be a good one, and usable for future upgrades (SSD,possible OC, possible other/more gfx cards).
I was considering this one:
$50 (75 - 25 rebate)

If that power supply is a good buy, I think I am done doing a nice/best upgrade for my budget? I would definitely appreciate any input, I plan to order parts tues or weds, most likely from newegg, in time to game over the weekend with it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
I was considering these options for the last 100ish (we can count rebates in my now price):

A) In the future I want SSD for OS and 4+ games. Id planned to save $ for 128gb+ , but saw this 90gb SATA for $90. Should I get it/something similar?

B) Im also concerned maybe I need to get a newer case? mine is old and has top powersupply design still.. unsure speed of front USB ports.. no front audio... has some dents etc. I move it around often to various friends' houses to game.

C) Can possibly afford a cheap case + a cheap/bigger/newer IHD(would it increase speed?), and do the SSD later?

D) Just do all of that later when i have more $, and buy some games/save the extras?

If it were me I'd get a Samsung 830 128GB on sale for $99 @ newegg:

I have switched all of my computers to them (for booting and programs) and I haven't looked back. Best upgrade I've done in a long time.

Since you will want to install your OS on the SSD, I'd do it now to avoid a reinstall later. Good luck on whatever you decide! Upgrades are fun.

Yeah, I think that power supply should do nicely. If you want to power SLI cards or overclock or something like that you'll need a beefier one but it doesn't sound like that's in your plan for now. So, get the one you have spec'ed and have a great time upgrading!
