Coming from X3-720BE, upgrade to i5-3570k or wait for Haswell.

I've been playing GW2 and BF3 lately and the performance on medium settings is just terrible. WvW is just unplayable in GW2 while PvE runs fine. In BF3, the frame rate drops considerably during heavy action. I tried Crossfiring 2 ATI 5770s and was able to get 60fps average but heavy action drops it to 20fps. Most likely my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU.

Should I upgrade to an i5-3570k or wait 4 more months for Haswell? Is the leak on Haswell true that the i5-4670k has 4 cores and 4 threads?

If I do decided to get the i5-3570k, I can get it for $195. Haven't decided on mobo yet, possibly Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H or ASRock Extreme4. I could probably sell my old CPU and mobo for a decent price. If not, I guess I could wait and stick with console gaming.

Asus M4A78T-E Deluxe
AMD Phenom II X3-720BE OC @ 3.4Ghz w/ 4th core unlock.
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3-1600 Ram
ATI 6850
Corsair Enthusiast 650W PSU
Running games at 1920 x 1080 resolution.

More threads in gaming doesn't really make a noticable difference. 4 months is a long time and console gaming is in my opinion a living hell. I would never recommend waiting, because in the meantime you would have the option to experience some quality gaming.
