Adding a HDD to my system

I have a 3TB External Drive USB 3.0. can this be plugged into the mobo using standard cables? input, please and thank you.

Yup, sure can. I don't know what form factor it is so you might have troubles fitting it if its not 3.5" (IE one of those "hip sleek slim" (read as notebook drives) USB externals)

small form factor. I am thinking to use this externally, as it has it's own fan and power supply. still do-able?
