$500 computer help and opinions please.

I am making a cheap PC for my mother so she can use it for the internet, emails, facebook, skype and flash games. i am wondering will the computer be powerful enough to play flash games and use skype without a graphics card?? or is whats on board powerful enough. i have built a high dollar PC but never a cheap PC for common use. thanks for any help

Don't worry about trying to "future proof" your mom's computer - it will never happen. I have a high-end rig (as far as gaming is concerned) and mine will be out of date in about 3 years, even with all the fancy stuff I used in it.

With such a low budget and simple needs, don't get an SSD. Just get a good 7200rpm drive. You won't need a graphics card, but I suggest getting the i3-2125 as suppose to the 2120, it has a better integrated graphics (not that you need it anyways, but it's only like an extra $5 or something).

If you really need to save money consider a pentium.
