I'll show you my plan for my rig.

PLAN #1 (Ivy Bridge)
ASUS P8Z77-V LE
Intel Core-i5 3570K
EVGA GTX560
G.Skill Sniper 1600 8GB (2x4GB)
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Corsair TX 650W
ASUS 24B3ST
Cooler Master Elite 372
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
DeepCool Wind Blade 120 (x5)
DeepCool XFAN120 (x2)

------------------------------------------------

PLAN #2 (Sandy Bridge)
ASUS P8Z68-V LE
Intel Core-i5 2500K
EVGA GTX560
G.Skill Sniper 1600 8GB (2x4GB)
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Corsair TX 650W
ASUS 24B3ST
Cooler Master Elite 372
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
DeepCool Wind Blade 120 (x5)
DeepCool XFAN120 (x2)

The second plan's more expensive than the first. This rig is going to be used for gaming and light photoshopping and video editing.

The second plan's cheaper so I'll get a monitor, router and a wireless adapter with it.

Help me out with this guys.

The difference, between the two, effectively between 2500K and 3570K, isn't huge. You're talking about between 2 fps and 6 fps, depending on game, and 3570K has slightly lower power consumption. Not a lot, but lower bills, over time. If there's little difference, in price, the 3570K is a no-brainer. If the 2500K is a lot cheaper, it's a bit more difficult. Unless price difference is a LOT, probably still say 3570K is latest tech, and go with that. I understand the P8Z77 boards have built in wi-fi, not sure how good.

That's certainly much better value and better graphics. OP didn't state actual budget, but, if it's a problem, whilst it's nice to have, could always drop SSD, ideally adding one later.
