What GPU do you recommend?

Hey guys I want to build a new system which could last throughout my university (3/4 years).

I have already purchased most of the components but I just cant deside on what gpu to get. Can I have some advice me on what would be my be my best option.

One that I was thinking of getting is 2X 7950 but after doing a bit of research I found out that its not worth going for crossfire or sli if I am running a resolution of 1080p.

My budget for the gpu is around £450 (could squeeze in a bit more if I have to).

The current components I have are:
-Intel Core i7 3770K 3.5GHz
-Asus SABERTOOTH Z77
-Corsair 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz
-XFX Pro 750W
-Corsair C70 Vengeance Case

well really at 1080p a gtx 670 is as much as you would need at least for a couple of years, with an OC it will reach 680 speeds apparently (according to waht i have seen around here and on some benchmarks)

more than that is a bit overkill for 1080p. a 7970 is a very good card as well and probably what i would go for if i was in your position to be honest.

thanks for the reply but what do u think about the:

eVGA GeForce GTX 680 Classified Graphics card - 4 GB - GDDR5 SDRAM

is it more future proof than the 7970?
