Is AMD Phenom II X4 965 good for photoshop?

I currently have athlon x2 3ghz which is ok not super good but i have ordered a AMD Phenom II X4 965 which should be here soon and was wondering would it be good for Photoshop?

The Adobe website states that you need a Athlon 64, so you're upgrade to Phenom 965 should handle Photoshop well. You'll see an improvement with the 4 cores for handling this application as well :)

Does your motherboard support the CPU with it's current Bios? I would double check before placing the Phenom II x4 965 in.

If not Flash to the latest bios while the Athlon Is in and running!

to the question, yes it will handle Photoshop just fine.

It mostly depends on what kind of editing you do in Photoshop. My wife opens many PSD (about 100MB to 500MB) each at a time combining layers in new ways and easily smokes through 8GB+ in ram usage, but it barely taxes the AMD dual core she is using.

yh i know all that stuff it supports up to amd fx chips i just needed to know if it would run it good without any lag
