Hi, first time building my own PC, wondering what you think of this build. It's going to be running Linux, will be using it mostly for programming projects and the like, and occasional Minecraft :)  My budget is £800
Planning on buying all these from, since it seems to do decent prices.

Intel i5-3550

Asus P8H77 V

2x 2Gb Corsair XMS3 Classic, 1600MHz DDR3
(almost bought 8Gb, figured I don't really need it)

GeForce GFX 550 Ti

Corsair Carbide 300R
(got some good budget reviews)

Corsair GS500

OCZ 64Gb Agility4 SATA 6Gbps

Seagate 1.5Tb 64Mb cache 6Gbps

No great problem, except no optical drive? The GTX 550Ti, whilst adequate for things like minecraft, assuming not high resolution, is fairly feeble. Something like HD7770, or, even better HD6850 are available (with a bit of looking), for not much more

In your budget, go to my link in my sig, it's much better than the build you have, It has 8GB RAM, i5 3570k and a radeon 7870 in it, and all under you're budget.

Edit: Here you go!

CPU: i5 3570k £177 [...] 637i53570k

GPU: Radeon 7870 2GB GDDR5 £200 [...] g&pup_c=gs

Case: Coolmaster Elite 430 £35 [...] 137&sr=8-1

Mobo: GA-Z77-D3H £78 [...] ga-z77-d3h

OS: Windows 7 64 bit £73 [...] dition=new

HDD: 1TB Black Caviar WD 7200rpm £85 [...] wd1002faex

DVD Drive: Sony AS-5280S £13 [...] d-5280s-0b

PSU: XFX 550watt Core edition £50 [...] dition=new

RAM: Corsair 2X4GB 1600MHZ £39 [...] m2a1600c9b

TOTAL=£750 (If you go down the 7850 route you can overclock to around standard 7870 speeds and get a SSD with the £40 left over)
