Im really stuck on an error with my PC which is preventing it from loading Windows.
On loading after the memory count and device listing, there is a quick flash of the Windows 98 loading screen and then the screen goes back to some more DOS information, near the centre of this info is a line in BOLD White flashing the following:
WARNING - SPD NOT FOUND AT DIMM(s) 1
After about 5 secs the screen reverts back to the Windows 98 loading picture, however the line that normaly moves at the bottom is frozen and the machine just hangs.
I did try booting in SAFE mode which works and I then tried reinstalling Windows which failed after the first resart as it gets stuck at the same point.
I have also removed all uneeded compontants so all I have is a Creative GeForce 2 , HDD, DVD\CD-ROM drive and floppy, there is one RAM module in DIMM 1 which I have pulled out and resat into the slot (also the memory check at boot reports no errors, but I dont know if it is anything to do with the error reported)
Any help is greatly appreciated

The little BIOS/EPROM thing on your memory stick isn't working so your computer can't auto-detect your SDRAM type/speed. Try setting the memory settings in your BIOS manually.
Thanks for the advise guys but it turned out to be something really silly, Its actually a mates machine and he had bought an AGP card that needs rev 2.0 AGP socket but his mobo is only Rev 1.0 compliant - DOH!
Thanks again
