Will this CPU fit my mobo with the ram?

Hi guys, I'm new around here and just had a quick question about an addition/replacement for stock heat sink in a new build. This is a full tower so I don't think that would be much of an issue but I was wondering if I would have room on my mobo with 2 sticks of ram.

Do you guys think the

would fit with two sticks of that RAM in it?

More about will mobo
  1. Well I already have the other ram which I recently purchased and I like having 8g sticks so I could go to 32gb in the future if I ever want to. I was just wondering if that cooler would work with what I have if the RAM is on the farthest two slots. I know it's a HUGE cooler and I'm pretty sure the case isn't a problem.

  3. You never put two sticks on 'furthest two slots'. If you'll look at the mobo specs, the ram always goes in dual channel mode, slots 1,3 and 2,4.
  4. Ah, ok thanks for that heads up. Even though this will be my 2nd build and I've upgraded computers tons of times, I've always used 4 sticks of ram and didn't know that lol. I feel kind of dumb now but it's good to know. So watching that vid, it seems like I should be able to make it work I suppose.
  5. I use the Noctua NH-D14, and went for the low voltage ram (Kingston Genesis). Its also low profile.
I'd suggest you go for Low Profile RAM, it makes it easier to replace/add ram without disturbing the cooler.
