Hi i have a asrock 870 extreme3 R2.0 and i have heard of people with a single nvidia graphics using this motherboard and i wanted to know if it was true because i like nvidia better than ati and i dont care about crossfire but its says its a crossfire board so can i use a nvidia card etc: evga 550ti ? Thanks in advance

Yes you can. You just cannot use two Nvidia cards inside, because it does not support SLI, but single nvidia card will have no problems.

the gtx 550 ti is good card i own one and it can max out skyrim and minecarft and can max gta4

You can use the card alone just fine. Don't use a 550ti. That card is one of the biggest rip offs for anything computer related or not. You can actually get a 560se for a lower price than the 550ti and it out performs it. Or you could go with a radeon 7770 in case you ever want to do crossfire, it will get about the same performance a 560se and costs the same. Just don't use a 550ti. But in short my brother had a crossfire board and used a 560ti in it for about a month with no problems.
