Which graphics card is better?

I am buying a new pc, and thinking about possibly swapping out the graphics card for my old one.
From what I understand, my old one had some really amazing benchmarks that top alot of modern graphics cards.
New pc: GTX 560 (not Ti),
Old pc: XFX 5850 Black Edition
If the 5850 is better, does it need a more powerful PSU or anything?
