Monitor going into standby when changing to 1080

Hey, just after a power outage my pc booted in 1024x768 which was set at 1080 just before, When I tried switching to 1080 again my monitor would just got black with no signal. I finally got it into 1080 again by messing with some nvidia control panel settings. later on I loaded and played skyrim and FO3 in 1080 no problem but I cant get MW3 to run in 1080 or it does the same thing as previously mentioned. Not sure if any other games do it but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas? Card is a GTX460 by the way.

Also I just chaned the refresh rate from 59 to 60 like it was before and now the screens black and I cant see it even if I restart

Its odd too because my keyboards a Logitech g19 and it's backlit and has LCD screen but there not lit up but there is caps lock led and the power led.
