Dual Display Question/Problem (color calibration profiles)

Hello everyone. I've recently built a system for my daughter and set up her two displays. This is my first time using two displays and I've encountered a couple of hiccups that I'm hoping you'll have a suggestion for.

She's using two Asus VH242h Displays connected to the Asus GTX 670 video card.

The main problem seems to be that the color profiles won't load. I've tried manually calibrating the color via the NVIDIA control panel, and when I adjust a setting (for example 0% to 100% on the brightness in the control panel) it only shows the change for a second before going back to what seems to be its default setting. I picked up an i1 Display 2 color calibration device and tried using its software to tweak the color but am getting the same results; the new profiles loaded do nothing to change the image.

This wouldn't be so much of a problem if one of the displays weren't weirdly colored. One display is more blue/white with little gray tone difference. It's making reading spreadsheets a pain as it doesn't show the slight grey scale difference between rows.

I'm not sure if this is a display problem, a graphics card problem, or a driver problem (as far as I can tell there are no windows 7 drivers for the vh242h? It's showing as a generic pnp display). Any advice you have would be great, especially because Asus support isn't being particularly helpful.
