Hi!
My name is Connor, and I'm going to (at least try) build my first computer.
I'm getting help from my dad's good friend, so he should be able to help me with some stuff.
Anyway, this was the rig I'm planning on, how would you like this?

Looks good.
Get the Asrock Z77 Extreme3 and use the money saved for a 7950.
Get the Hyper 212 EVO instead of Xigmatek.
Get a WD drive instead of Seagate.
Get a OCZ Vertex 4 or Samsung 830 instead of the Corsair SSD.

Thank you!
Took your advice of the HDD and the SDD.
Decided that I didn't need a fancy graphics card like the 7950.

If you do stick with the MSI Z77A-GD65, just know that it is an awesome motherboard. It received an award along with another one for the best in it's class/price range, with the best overclocking of them all. Look up the review where they compare 6 major-brand mobos in the price range of the GD65 (GD65 included) and say it comes out on top.

that's what i recommend you because its a "do it all" PC... its extremely good for gaming and you can record your gameplay, do heavy video editing, edit thousands of photos and well.... it will last a bit longer than the previous builds posted but if you want to save money and improve your gaming performance a little bit this is what i recommend you:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ NCIX)

It's not only cheaper, it's FREE SHIPPING. Start adding up the shipping cost on newegg and a few of those other sites and then you really see the savings.
