Hi, everybody! I've recently decided to build a PC for myself and wanted a check on the specs, since I don't really know what I'm doing. My budget is about $2000 counting shipping and tax, so if you have any changes or suggestions, feel free! Also, you should know that I'm going to use this for high-end movie editing, VFX production, 3D modeling, 2D and 3D animation, most CS6 products (use 'em all), intense gaming, and livestreaming [quick plug: twitch.tv/simpsonfreak] :pfff:]. I have tow possible configurations: one on CyberPower and one that I might assemble from the ground up from TigerDirect. The specs are as follows:

I could really use some help over which one to choose. Both are the same price with the coupons I have and the deals. My only concerns are that the CyberPower processor is overclocked by 20%, giving me a better frame rate and speed, and I'm worried about overclocking it myself with the TigerDirect build, and also that I don't know if the PSU for the TigerDirect is good enough.

Thanks for all the help. I really appreciate it! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Solution
The Cyberpower build is based on an SB-E quad core which isn't going to offer much advantage over going with Ivy Bridge. Your TigerDirect build can actually be a bit cheaper.

First of all you have a major incompatibility problem. You've specified a socket 2011 motherboard and a socket 1155 processor. :non:

Change the motherboard to ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard and you save over $200.

You also don't need a sound card, but you should add an aftermarket cooler like the Coolermaster Hyper212 EVO to your build.

A 650W power supply is sufficient for a single video card.
