Hello,
I was given a Compaq Presario SR2177CL and wanted to turn it into a HTPC. I bought a tuner card for the PCI slot, but the video card that came with the computer is old and only has VGA. Looking at the Sapphire Radeon HD 5450 1GB to upgrade for HDMI, but i am not sure if the 300W power supply will be enough for this card. If its not, what power supplies will fit with my case/motherboard? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

(also will not be gaming at all - just for HD Video)

Thanks!

It should work, the PSU is big enough.

Thanks! The only reason i hesitated on this was because on the Radeon website, it says this card needed a 400W power supply...

It is a low power card and your total system load is going to hardly reach 200watts.

the 5450 consumes an excruciatingly low amount of power.

I used to have this exact model and had a 9600gt in it. Just a heads up, this thing is a dust magnet so make sure you're clearing that out often.
