So I'm debating over weather a GTX 680 or a 7970 is worth it?

I can get either of them, but I saw the 680 take out the 7970 is most games on benchmarks... I also am an Nvidia fanboy, but switched to a 6850 just to get me by until I get a serious card in my machine.

So should I get a 680? or is the 7970 good or better?

GTX680 and HD7970GHz edition share the performance crown, you can not go wrong with either card http://www.anandtech.com/show/6025/radeon-hd-7970-ghz-e...

Oh yeah, that benchmarks I was on, the 7970 was on stock clocks...

I might go with the 680 anyways, Radeon cards so far have caused headaches with the drivers.

No known driver issues with either at the moment but like I said both are great.
