Hey all,

I want to upgrade my graphics card from HD6870 to HD7870 OC. I have used 10 different wattage calculators on the internet but all of them give very different answers so I don't think I can count on it.

I currently have a Corsair GS600 PSU. Can someone please tell me if this 600watt PSU will still be able to handle the HD7870 at full load. See system specs below.

I've damaged my previous hd6870 with insufficient PSU. Really don't want it to happen again.

System specs:

MB: MSI 790GX G65
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 3.4GHz 965BE
RAM: 2x 2GB + 1 x 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
HDD: 1x 1TB WD
1x Blu-Ray drive
3x 120mm LED fan + 1x 80mm LED fan.

dirtyferret is correct - You are good to go as is, a quality 500w unit is recommended for
a system with a 7870, and that has headroom built in.
