Sorry, I meant just an Intel CPU with a discrete card, not a card in addition to an AMD APU.

I guess a 6670 or its Nvidia equivalent, as I'm not really a gamer. I've done a little bit of research but still don't really know what to look for. The GPU hierarchy is helpful, but all the specs of the various cards themselves make my head spin.

Any reason you are going with an older generation video card. The 6XXX series is a generation old actually almost two generations because AMD will be releasing the new 8000 series sometime in this spring. I would at least go with the 7000 series or wait to see what happens with the 8000 series release dates.
