I currently have a pretty substantial check in hand and have been wanting to move away from my macbook pro and now that the opportunity has come, I have no idea where to start. My budget is 2500k which I'm sure is more than enough to get some above average hardware. I do have Windows 7 and that's pretty much it. No monitor or shell. Thanks in advance.

Perfect, thanks for the quick answer. This no doubt will run BF3 on ultra at max resolution? Or guild wars 2 max settings?
