I don't know what sub category this goes into so I just put tv tuner cards because it has the word tv in it. Has anyone tried this before? I'm gonna connect my pc on a tv with hdmi and then get a wireless pc controller and play pc games so it's like a console but better. I haven't seen youtube videos of this so I'm wondering, am I the only one?

More about : console

Many people do this, I do this, I game on my 40" Sony Bravia HDTV. Make sure you have a modern GPU such as the Geforce 4XX and AMD 5XXX series and above to have good graphics and sound. I really enjoy gaming on my TV, I have an HD TV Turner so that my HD Cable Box is connected to my PC. I can record my American Football games when the season starts in a few weeks and TV shows too.

I'll be using a 6670 with 6650d hybrid crossfire, does the gpu really matter? I thought the tv is just like a monitor but just bigger, I won't be watching tv I'll be playing pc games like it's a console :)

Bigger the screen won't make a difference, the resolution will.

Almost all HD TVs are running a resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p), so you will get the same FPS on a 23" running 1920x1080.

[EDIT] I've also conencted my pc to my 58" FULL HD TV, no issues. You do see the pixels up close, but should be perfect if you sit on a couch etc.

Your GPU's are fine. Just make sure your TV is 1080P because it looks nice in BF3 on Ultra. :)

I use my wireless XBOX 360 controller with the wireless adapter in a few games. I usually prefer keyboard and mouse.

Cool thanks guys, yeah I'll be using 1080p on a 32 inch and I think my dads 65 inch will only do 480p :(
480p on 65 inch will look terrible!
