When i enable the display adapter the comp freezes on start up

this has been a problem since the comp was formatted from windows vista to windows 7. i installed drivers from hp but still there is a problem since it starts well on start up and then flick several times then brings the error on intel r accelerator driver has stopped but recovered and then it freezes. my comp is hp pavillion dv5 1233se entertainment notebook pc SLIC MPC 64bit

What drivers did you install? are there any older drivers that you can use? the drivers are vista or 7 correct?

i realized that when i disable the display adapter drivers in safe mode and restarted the comp works fine.

then when i check the display in screen resolution in advanced settings it gives the adapter information as UNAVAILABLE i.e the Chip, DAC Adapter string etc.

am sending the information about the directx components and drivers installed to the Toms hardware email
