Not at all, believe me its not.

An XP 2400 for $137 OEM from Newegg.com is MUCH MORE worth the price than an XP3000 for like $500.

If you have a 2700-2800, youre already almost there and would feel it less.

Remember, 2700xp is NOT 300mhz slower than 3000xp, not nearly. The increase will be minimal.

AXP 2800+ (T-bred "B", 2.25 GHz) or AXP 2700+ will be a better buy

get a low end barton and overclock, or a high end Tbred.

Agreed.. do not waste money.. indstead you can buy two T-breds and setup a dualie!! take that HT!!

errr not really. You still have to pay for the dual cpu mobo and a dual cpu capable PSU...

Well yeah but you can get a 266A based mobo from someone like Asus and it supports agp etc.. not bad... and yes PS is an issue probably need a 530W or similar... You can mod xps though to work in dual mode instead of MPs which will save you money. My friend just did this a month ago and his systems runs sweet...

But yeah... it will cost you a bit more I gather...
