a nividia 560 with that z68 mobo even thou you can run nivida 600 series or amd 7000 series it wont perform to the the max because ur cpu dosent support the larger bus and graphics core inside of one of those cards so if i was u i would go for a nivida 560 for mid gaming

I would personally prefer either the 560 or HD6870 :)  they would compliment your system nicely.

are the radeons any good? i have heard numerous things about them not being good compared to nvidia but they are a decent price, and i was primarily looking to get the 560 in the first place but i wanted to ask you guys first so what do you think?

Very wrong!

Agreed...his i3 2120 won't bottleneck even a 7870.

The Radeon HD's are very good :)  It's just a matter of personal preference on which route you want to take (GTX vs Radeon).

My brother uses the 6870 and it works great, I personally use the GTX 560 Ti and it works great as well...just a matter of personal preference

then whats the point in having quad core cpu's for pcie 3.0 if they perform the same as a dual core ? and no not because they want our money

Quad vs Dual core isn't really a good argument for PCI-E 3.0.

The only real advantage I can see in having PCI-E 3.0 is if you're going to have a massive Multi-GPU configuration, such as 4 way SLI or Crossfire. Then you could take advantage of the extra bandwidth. However, if you're just going to run a single card, you won't see a difference.

The i3 is not bottlenecked, and delivers adequate performance.
The quads do this but far better.

thats what i said i said the i3 wont give u the max outta a 600 series or 7000 series i didnt say it wont work i just said it wont give u what u want efficiently

I agree, it's mostly up to you which brand to take :)  ASUS and MSI are both VERY reputable brands so you can't go wrong!
