Intel i5 question

Is the i5 3470 that much lower in performance than the i5 3570? Is the 40 dollars well worth it for the 3570?

Its not a lot lower, probably at most like 5% slower. Anyway, mostly solid build, only things are that the motherboard is kinda overkill cause that CPU can't really be overclocked past a few speed bins - I'd go for an H77 board if you're not gonna get a Core i5 3570K, dont get two separate optical drives, get a 50$ Blu Ray drive that reads Blu Ray & writes DVD, and that GPU is AWFUL, get at least a 660 or 660ti.

Yes, everyone is saying the same thing, mother board is overkill, but nobody explains why. Can you explain why? And, I am upgrading the GPU to 660ti....
