That build would work a lot better with a power supply.

And also get a good motherboard. This one will barely hold a 4GHZ overclock.
You'll be much happier with one of these :

http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=70263&vpn=GA-Z77X-UD3H...

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007KTY4A6/?tag=pcpapi-20

And also idroid. That's not a good power supply at all.
For only 20$ more he can get the Rosewill Capstone 750-M which is a much better power supply. It's more efficient, its modular and it uses a single rail design.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Or if he want;s to save some money while still getting a better PSU he can the the OCZ ZT 750
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=64382&vpn=OCZ-ZT750W&m...
which is also much better.

What BS. Look here:

That PSU is very high efficiency.
That Capstone has about the same efficiency while being $20 more and Gold certified.
