Hello first time using this forum :) I've got a £1000 budget and plan on keeping my current monitor, mouse, keyboard and HDD i need everything else if anyone could help me put a rig together in terms of what parts to use that would be AMAZING, I've watched a fair few tutorials on how to actually build the thing so I'm somewhat confident in that sense but will be having a friend help me out should I need it.

Rig will pretty much be only for gaming with a bit of internet browsing on the side I've never had anything close to a good gaming pc so I'm looking forward to this! thanks in advance to any and all who want to help a newbie out.

:)

I have no idea how to pick parts priced in pounds.
But, here are the basics.
3570K
GTX670
8gb of DDR3-1600 ram
Z77 motherboard
600w quality psu(Seasonic, Antec, XFX, Corsair, PC P&C)
120gb or larger SSD(intel or samsung)
1tb hard drive for storage
A quality case with the looks you love.

Put together a list with links to the parts where you might be shopping, and we can go from there.

CPU i5 3570k £167 (Also at this price it is easily the best!) (Must get the Cooler I say as this is a OEM)
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/intel-core-i5-3570k1155-ivy-bridge-quad-core-34ghz-5-gt-s-dmi-650mhz-gpu-6mb-smart-cache-34x-ratio-7

GPU XFX Black Editon HD 7970 £330 (really good, but you can get a GTX 670 if you want)
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-xfx-radeon-hd-7970-black-with-ghost-and-hydrocell-5700mhz-gddr5-1000mhz-2048-cores-dvi-i-hdmi-mi

MOBO GA-Z77-D3H £80 (Can better but this can get 4.5 GHZ OC more than enough, and anything better is much more expensive!)

PSU XFX CORE EDITION 650W £65 (Great PSU, but you might want a modular)...
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/650w-xfx-pro-series-core-edition-p1-650s-ukb9-85-eff-80-plus-bronze-sli-crossfire-eps-12v-fan-atx-v2

HDD 1TB WESTERN DIGITAL BLACK CAVIAR 7200RPM £75 (Big storage, and best reliablity with 5 yr warrenty!)
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1tb-western-digital-wd1002faex-caviar-black-sata-iii-6gb-s-7200rpm-64mb-cache-8ms

SSD If you want one.

CASE Get a case you like :)

CPU COOLER: Noctua NH-D14 £60 (Best cooler out there, at a premium) OR Hyper EVO 212 £25 (This is good to, and good enough for a 4.5GHZ OC, up to you tho and on your budget).

TOTAL: £742 with hyper evo, and get what case you like as it is up to you, and with whatever you have left get a SSD.

I'd love to but I'm a COMPLETE novice wouldn't have any idea where to start and I'm not even just saying that to be lazy which I hold my hands up to as I can be VERY lazy at times. :p

Wow very fast build mate thank you very much! How will the set up handle 1980x1080 res I'm mostly going to be playing DayZ that mod for ARMA 2 and I've read up that It's near impossible to max out that game so could I at least play it on high? :)

Very easily on ultra for a year, then for 2014 high.

DO some research though, then you can make it yourself and use our ideas.

Well... I am lazy too:)

You must have some idea of where you will shop, probably online.

Just pick the parts I initially listed and find them on your chosen vendor site.
Brands, are mostly good, so that does not matter.

Look at cases, that is where YOUR preference will come into play. Most cases will do the job.
Is size an issue?
Do you value Quiet?
Do you value "bling"?
