Dell computer studio 540 power supply replacement

Hello,
My Dell Studio 540 computer did not turn on in the morning. Judging from the comment thread on Google, it is likely that I need a new power supply rather than a motherboard. Is this something I can buy locally or do I have to send away for it?

All these brands are excellent; some low end brands aren't properly rated and may fail under load.
