What brand and model router is it?

By default most use admin as the user name and/or password but each company is a little different. I have seen some that also use "user" to access the router.

And other than needing to access the router settings, your internet is working fine?

Hi I have a Linksys Router model number WRT 5468. I can access the internet fine. My challenge is accessing the security key as I have reinstalled my laptop and although it reads the router it asks for the security key. I shall try the word "user" Thanks

I would look for the manual as most if not all of them are on the Linksys site. But that model number doesn't exist.

LOL, yeah networking is a funny thing. So many litytle factors involved and any one of them can mess you up. Everything i know is pretty much self taught, which is a frustrating way to learn how to do anything

Glad you got it all working.
