I have a Lenova H230 3000 tower with an Intel E5300 cpu chip. I want to insert a graphics card for dual monitor support. What level of PCI express does the E5300 cpu support?
On your computer, the PCI-E is controlled by the chipset, not the actual CPU. Either way, your PCI-E is version 2.0 or 2.1.
You can put in ANY PCI-E card, 1.1, 2.0, 2.1, 3.0. They are backwards compatible.
If you are just looking to go dual monitor, any cheap HD6450 will do, or something used...
