Constant Overheating.

CPU likes to heat up to 80c it seems like if I play anything but garrysmod or something similar.I use To be able to play say saint row ,bf3,borderlands2,etc but anytime I play computer shuts down pretty soon after launching any of them.Any reason why my cpu is overheating recently? It literally never use to go past like 50 or 60c after acouple hours of playing anything.
Its a AMD 965

cpu coolers not down tight. to much thermal paste or old..dry out paste.

Ill apply new paste see if It makes a difference

Have you recently dusted your computer? When dust builds up in the heatsink & fan, that usually is a good hit on temperatures & performance.
