Choosing a motherboard for i5 2400

i will get a second hand i5 2400 tray
will it work good on

Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2P-B3 Socket 1155 motherboard
and
ASUS P8H61-M LX Socket 1155 Motherboard (R2.0)

without bios update ??

and what mobo is better ?

i have a fan working on core2deo processor LGA 775

can it work on the new system socket 1155 or i have to buy a new fan :S

Both motherboards are H61, they will work no diffrent from eachother. The LGA775 fan will NOT work with the new board, unless its a newer aftermarket fan.

Yes, it will work, it's a sandybridge cpu, no need for bios update.
Both motherboards are about the same quality/specs.
You'll have to buy a new cooler.
Also check if the used cpu is really worth it vs retail prices.
