My Sapphire Radeon 7950 keeps Crashing

Hey, recently, I got BF3 and want to OC my GPU (didn't feel a need before). However, when I use Sapphire TRIXX and set the Core Clock to 1150 MHz, my system keeps freezing then fixing and graphics driver crashes and recovers multiple times before I End Task in Task Manager.

Here is my system:
Intel Core i5-2500k Processor
Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H
Sapphire Radeon 7950 OCed to 1150 MHz
Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 120GB Solid-State Drive
WD Caviar Blue 500GB Hard Drive
Corsair Carbide 500R Gaming Case
PC Power and Cooling Silencer MK 950W Power Supply

More about sapphire radeon 7950 crashing
  1. do you want to try the new v-bios with the boost feature? that could help
  2. What is that?

didnt amd release a 7950 with boost? or did they only make it avaliable on the specially marked 7950s
  4. I have the 950 MHz core clock one.
  5. i meant if they released a bios for all 7950 cards to use. also, isnt 1150mhz a bit high?
  6. I am using a guide's tests that pushed the card to 1150 Mhz.

doesnt really mean it will hit that mark...

    how about trying afterburner instead?
  8. Guess that means the OC is too high for my card. I will try 1050 MHz and report back.
