i have a gigabyte 670 with 980 core and ive known for some sometime its underperforming compared to other people. i just checked this vid

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnLUJxCBZUg

he's using msi 670 so his core is 1019. i overclocked mine to 1019 and walked exactly the same path as him at the beginning but my fps is only sitting at around 60 whereas his is sitting at 80. my cpu is i5-2500k at stock speed. i cant oc it because i only have stock cooler. can someone with setup same as mine downclock their cpu to stock speed and see if it makes a dramatic fps drop?

ive done 3dmark 11 plenty of time and get around the same graphics score other, but i dont understand why its always underperforming in games.

Basically the CPU at stock clocks is bottlenecking the card based on those results but at what resolution are the benchmarks? At lower resolutions it is more the CPU that is doing the work so it will benefit from overclock the higher the resolution the more of the work the GPU does.
