Approximate Purchase Date: December at the latest. (Q4 2012)

Budget Range: around 900$

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Heavy Gaming, video conversion and uploads, surfing web, minecraft server, folding at home, More heavy gaming, Word processing, movie viewing, even more gaming, stress testing, developing my app for android.

Are you buying a monitor: I have my monitor, and it works just fine.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, planning on purchasing Windows 8.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com only please, for convenience.

Location: Richmond, Virginia. U.S.A.

Parts Preferences: slightly more pro Nvidia than AMD for personal reasons.

Overclocking: I plan to experiment with overclocking.

SLI or Crossfire: probably not.

Monitor Resolution: 1600x900 on my decent monitor that i plan to keep.

Additional Comments: I would like a window to see my parts, and I am a heavy PC gamer.

Why I'm upgrading: my current computer is this:m9500f i swapped the 9500 GS that died with a 50 buck GT 520. it just doesn't work for my heavy gaming needs, tired of playing games on low settings. the CPU is kind of old, and not very fast at 2.4ghz. the power supply is a no-name 350w. the computer is just sucky now in general.

This is the build i have so far, comments, suggestions appreciated. also, i think i'm missing a CPU cooler, mouse and keyboard...

CPU: Core i5 3570k

Motherboard: ASrock Z77 Extreme4

RAM: G.Skill ripjaws X series 8GB DDR3 1600

Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 660

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB

Power Supply: Rosewill HIVE 650W

Case: Corsair Carbide 300R w/ window

CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO

Totals out at 929.92$

Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Also, i am Missing better CPU cooler, gaming mouse and gaming keyboard.

Your build is good, but drop the HIVE to a 520W NEO ECO. Use the $ saved on getting a Hyper 212 EVO. Sadly, without downgrading other parts, you can't fit in a kb/mouse.

Looks good. A good CPU cooler is the Hyper 212 EVO. You could save money by getting a less powerful PSU (500-600W)

For the First suggestion, i want the 300R with the window, so no :)

Second, It isn't modular :p

third, i dunno... it doesn't appeal to me, especially only 2 sata 3.0 ports :/  and no debug LED.

I DID add the Hyper 212 EVO, thanks :)
