Acer restore help

Hello,
I have reinstalled my OS several times but I keep getting an error that windows explorer need to shut down. Can I fix this? Could it be related to a HW problem?

You should be able to use the install DVD to do a 'Repair' that would fix that.

Thanks for the reply. I have an ACER Aspire5740G which has a system partition where all the 'install' files are stored so no DVDs come with the laptop. I have tried a clean install and repair a couple of times but I still have my problem..?
