Okay, I got this new power supply and when I power up the pc, the on led is on, all the fans are on but it takes about a minute for my system to start(POST). I tried restarting thrice and same results. Should I replace the Power supply. I never experienced this. Thanks for the help

Its corsair vs450. The motherboard is Asus. I am researching on why POST takes a long time. I used a stop watch and got 30 seconds before POST actually starts. After that everything is normal. I tried using the old power supply and still have the same issue. It's not the power supply or maybe both power supplys are bad. Either way the computer is normal and fast to boot after POST about 10-15 seconds.

Asus p5kplam-epu
HD 7750
2 gb generic ram
Corsair VS450

That doesn't appear to be a power supply caused issue.

Did you check to see if the BIOS setting for Quick Boot is set to [Enabled] ?

For Each Primary IDE and SATA device set the unused ones' Type to [Not Installed] so the POST routine won't scan for new devices on every boot up.
