Hp computer wont start

Hello,
My Hp has directed me to computer instead of booting p and now it is making me select open command prompt and I have no idea what to do
. Can you elp direct me.

Can you give a more information.

What model HP.

What happens when you power it on.
- Do you see BIOS screen? Do fans spin? Does the monitor power up ?
- Do you see windows messages? Is so which ones ?
- What do you mean by "My Hp has directed me to computer instead of booting p" ??
