Thinking about upgrading my GTS 250

Hey all,

I'm thinking about upgrading my card soon and would like some advice. This is my first PC that I built a few years ago and I use it for gaming and drawing. The games I am playing now is Skyrim, Oblivion (which has horrible lag problems but I'm told it's because of the coding of the game), and Arma II. I'm interested in Guild Wars II when it comes out. Honestly, I don't know much about specs. I don't want to spend too much for something I won't be using or needing, but at the same time I want something that is a little better than decent. My budget is around $250, but I'm flexible if it's a really good recommended card.

Before discovering this forum, I was browsing newegg and was considering these...

EVGA 01G-P3-1460-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

EVGA 012-P3-1570-AR GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67
RAM 6.00 GB
Win 7 64-bit
PSU 750W
Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe V2
Graphics card: nVidia GTS 250

If I was looking to upgrade my graphics card, what would you suggest? Also, and I know this is not the right forum, but any ideas if I should look to buying a better CPU?

Much appreciated guys.

Thanks guys. I'll take a look at those.

My power supply is Corsair TX750 W. I'm not sure if that's the model, lol.

^ This is a very solid recommendation. +1

It is an excellent value and will blow away the last generation GTX560 / 570. Not sure if you are partial to Nvidia or not but this is indeed better hardware.

If you have a preference for Nvidia you may want to see what they offer with the GTX660/660ti cards which are rumored to release on August 16th.
