Hello folks!!
I'm a long time Toms site and forum reader. I'm thinking of upgrading my GPU and monitor together, was gonna do it immediately but waiting for the release of the 660 cards to further push down the prices.
I'll be gaming at 1080p when I get my new monitor. My current specs are as follows:

Athlon II x4 630 @ 3.2GHz (OC'd)
MSI 785GM e-51 mobo
4GB corsair DDR3 1333
Sapphire HD 6850 1GB (Stock)
NZXT Gamma
Seasonic 500W PSU (Model 500-es)
1440x900 resolution

As of now my budget is around $220 for the GPU but since I'll be waiting till sept, I could be able to save a little more. So I want to know the max that my power supply can handle.

Here's a pic of my PSU's specs

Your power supply will work for all cards except few, namely: GTX 570, GTX 580, GTX 590, GTX 480, HD 6970, HD 6990. All the other cards will work.

If your computer is not heavily loaded with HDDs or any other add on components, any thing from this list should work from memory:

7850, 7870, 6950, 7950 From AMD
560Ti, 670 from Nvidia

That Seasonic 500W is a really good PSU, I don't remember seeing a test on specifically that one, but hardware secrets tested several Seasonic based power supplies, and they were consistently able to deliver 110% of their rated capacity.
