More about suggestions gaming build
  1. Forgot to mention I'm hoping this system can run ARMA 2 on high settings at 1980x1080 res as that's the main game I'll be playing for the DayZ mod.
  2. Alternative CPU cooler.

    Cooler Master Hyper 212

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/cooler-master-hyper-212-evo-4-heat-pipes-direct-contact-with-120mm-quiet-fan-lga775-1155-1156-1366-a (May be better as I'm unsure if I'll even bother overclocking for awhile.)
  3. Nobody? :(
  4. I'm begging for help here, was going to try and order all the stuff tonight, PLEASE SOMEONE. D:
  5. Last bump I guess before giving up, Ultimate thanks to anyone willing to help.
  6. ARMA 2 isn't that demanding at all graphics wise running DAY Z any modern GPU will run it just fine.

For a SSD, I would say either VERTEX 4 or Corsair GS drive.

A case is really a matter of personal taste, I'd say go for a full tower of course that you personally would find appealing that also has good functionality; browse around amazon or Newegg. Me personally, I've been using a HAF X for a few years now and very happy with it.

Asus has a 7970 for a few bucks more too: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-asus-radeon-hd-7970-directcu-ii-5500mhz-gddr5-925mhz-2-x-dvi-i-4-x-display-port

Good timings and anything above 1600mhz will not be worth it.

It's a solid build, there's a ton of choices when putting a PC together.

The motherboard seems kind of low end, not very solid in my opinion for a gaming build.

Maybe something along these lines if it's in your budget.

It was suggested by someone on these forums but if the one you suggested is better as works with all the other stuff listed and the ram then I'll go for that one.
  10. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-(2x4gb)-corsair-vengeance-blue-ddr3-pc3-12800(1600)-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-24-xmp-15v Is that the exact same as the one you listed? I'm in the UK so if it is I'll buy it off that site with all the other stuff. :)
  11. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-p8z77-v-lx-intel-z77-s-1155-ddr3-sata-iii-6gb-s-sata-raid-pcie-30-(x16)-dvi-d-hdmi-d-sub-(vga)- And is that the same motherboard as the one you listed? Just makes it easier to buy it all off one site. :)
  12. Looks good to me, I would never go low end on a motherboard since it's such a critical part. Hope I helped you.

Yes indeed! Didn't see you had already listed a motherboard from scan so I'm going with the one you listed that's everything now I believe just need to find a decent case, is there anyway for me to keep the OS I'm using on this system or would I need to buy a fresh one?

Did you buy retail or OEM windows 7? OEM should be able to be reactivated, but it might have to be done by phone.

OEM I'll give them a ring then, last thing now then I guess is the case which is meant to be easy? but I'm unsure on what to go for in terms of one that will fit all the stuff I'm putting into it, I'm really not exactly fussed on the style of it just as long as it fits everything, oh and that it's black. :P

Just browse through and find one that fits your needs and you like. Cooler master and Corsair make some good cases.

http://www.ebuyer.com/288862-cm-storm-trooper-case-sgc-5000-kkn1?gclid=CIn597GHu7ICFYcNfAod_i4Aww Sure looks nice and certainly looks big enough and has quite alot in terms of cooling! Just double checking but a TX 650w corsair PSU should be able to run all this correct?
  18. That's a nice case it looks good.
