My budget is £1000 and I'd like to buy all my parts off of www.scan.co.uk i also do not need a monitor, mouse and keyboard.

ARMA 2 isn't that demanding at all graphics wise running DAY Z any modern GPU will run it just fine.

For a SSD, I would say either VERTEX 4 or Corsair GS drive.

A case is really a matter of personal taste, I'd say go for a full tower of course that you personally would find appealing that also has good functionality; browse around amazon or Newegg. Me personally, I've been using a HAF X for a few years now and very happy with it.

Asus has a 7970 for a few bucks more too: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-asus-radeon-hd-7970-...

Tysm for the reply! Do you think it's a solid build btw? Oh and any suggestions on a compatible RAM? that's the main thing I'm missing now.

Good timings and anything above 1600mhz will not be worth it.

It's a solid build, there's a ton of choices when putting a PC together.

The motherboard seems kind of low end, not very solid in my opinion for a gaming build.

Maybe something along these lines if it's in your budget.

It was suggested by someone on these forums but if the one you suggested is better as works with all the other stuff listed and the ram then I'll go for that one.

Looks good to me, I would never go low end on a motherboard since it's such a critical part. Hope I helped you.

Yes indeed! Didn't see you had already listed a motherboard from scan so I'm going with the one you listed that's everything now I believe just need to find a decent case, is there anyway for me to keep the OS I'm using on this system or would I need to buy a fresh one?

Did you buy retail or OEM windows 7? OEM should be able to be reactivated, but it might have to be done by phone.

OEM I'll give them a ring then, last thing now then I guess is the case which is meant to be easy? but I'm unsure on what to go for in terms of one that will fit all the stuff I'm putting into it, I'm really not exactly fussed on the style of it just as long as it fits everything, oh and that it's black. :p

Just browse through and find one that fits your needs and you like. Cooler master and Corsair make some good cases.
