Best Graphics Card for around $110

Last response: in Graphics & Displays

I'm looking to upgrade my old GTS 250 to something that can play The Old Repblic on high. I can play on low at 59FPS, but when I go to high it drops down to 29FPS. I have an Intel i3 2100, an Xpower 780W PSU and I play at 1366x768.

I'd like to spend no more than $110, but I can spend more. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Any graphics cards you purchase right now at $110 would probably perform similar to your GTS 250. The HD7750 performs identically fast to the GTS 250, and that's priced at $110. So much for competition and innovation this year. :/

Some 7770s can reach down to about that cheap. They would be the fastest gaming graphics card at that price point if you see any on sale. This one isn't quite $110, but with the MIR, it's under $120:

It's also one of the better 7770 cards too. Otherwise, then like reprotected said, any card that you buy at this price point would be fairly close to your GTS 250 in performance. The 7770 is the only choice that I see here that can best it significantly in most games.

Yep I just bought that same 7770 linked earlier. It's very nice, it runs cool and quite and is very small. Doesn't support Crossfire though, and yes the 6850 would be faster than the 7770, but it's up to you if you want to buy it second hand, a new one will run closer to $150.

I've seen a new 7770 run at $110 every few days on newegg and/or tigerdirect, you just have to watch prices carefully. Spending more doesn't make sense until you get to the gtx 560 ti for $210, the gtx 560 is only $20-$30 cheaper and has around 80 percent of its performance. The 7770 is $60-$80 cheaper than the gtx 560 and has about 85% of its performance.
