Budget Range: (e.g.: 300-400) $1,000-$3,000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, watching movies, editing/rendering videos/other

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: Everything

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: NewEgg.com, preferably

Location: Irrelevant, there's no places "local" to me (i.e not an hour+ drive)

Parts Preferences:
Motherboard - Asus, preferably with UEFI; unless there's a better option
CPU - Intel
Graphics Card - Nvidia GeForce

Overclocking: I'm debating on it, so I'd at least like the option to

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 (should be 27", I think)

Additional Comments: I have some parts chosen already, but I'm still learning. This is my first build, and I'm really nervous about screwing it up. From what I've been told, it's easy though. If anyone can tell me how to tell if parts (Motherboard, CPU, case fans>motherboard spots for fans) are/aren't compatible, I'd appreciate it! :)

Why Are You Upgrading: I like to play games, but I'd like the option to play games that I can mod. I also like rendering/editing videos, which takes WAY too long on my laptop
