Sup, The amd FX and i5 3570k are both 189.99 at micro center and I was wondering if which one should I get. I was thinking the extra cores will help down the line but the i5 does 5 to 10 fps better in games. Also the amd can oc to 5ghz. I do want to try out some video copilot tutorials in Adobe after effects and do some projects in fruity loops so i'm not just gaming here. my video card will be a HIS 7870, ram will be 1600mhz 8gb, all running on a Diablotek 675w PSU.

The 8350 has 4 cores, of two bulldozer modules.
In my mind, I still count this as 4 cores.

If you are doing heavy video editing and encoding, then the 8350 will be slightly better.

For every other application, the 3570k will be vastly superior to the 8350.

In short, take the i5-3570k, it will be a much better choice.

There are many other better SSD out there that are faster and possibly cheaper than the crucial M4, Samsung 840 is an example, or Scandisk Extreme SSD is another.

I figured but I found it on amazon for $65.00. Should I just pay the extra $20 for the 840? I know I sound like a noob but this is my first build.
