Private LAN Transfer Speed

Hello,

Could anyone tell me what I could use to determine, test and benchmark speed on my interan LAN. For example the speed between Host A and Host B?

send a file... use a HD bench program to make a blank file if you do not have one but just send something and check it. you can use programs for testing quality but in reality sending a file will give you real time, real world information. test the data send and write speeds of the computers as well as the data transmission over the network.
